Last week, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda, created a media firestorm by unveiling a new pink version of its traditional Toyota Crown.
The Crown has been for decades a very conservative model aim mostly to males. For its new version, Toyota decided to take risk and hopefully appeal more to Japanese woman

This was the first time ever Toyota had created a classic and best seller sedan in pink color. It was also a way for Toyota to reaffirm a dramatic change in the image of the Crown.
While the pink Crown has yet to be starting to be produced, the media buzz created has achieved a lot for the company. Japanese TV has been covering the pink Crown like never before, making it by far the most talk and perhaps the mos popular car in Japan for 2013.
